Read about the Batey 106 Project

The Batéy 106 is a severely impoverished community living and toiling on a sugar cane plantation in the Dominican Republic, 45 minutes from La Romana. 

With the support of private and individual donations, The Foundation for Art in Motion (Monica Watkins & partners) and Curators for a Cause (Erica Simone & Jaci Berkopec) have been conducting sustainable living workshops with the community as well as art therapy with the children, while feeding them nutritious meals daily.

The available photographs here were all taken by ©Erica Simone in 2014. 100% of the profits from these sales will go directly to funding the Batéy 106 project and more specifically to FEEDING the children with healthy meals and supplying paint for the art projects.
